History

Minoan Tastes was created in 2012 by a small group of archaeologists, potters, and cooks living in the Lassithi prefecture of the Island of Crete, Greece. Using experiential learning techniques, we spend our time educating locals and foreigners about Minoan culture and the ancient and modern Cretan landscape. Our most popular are cooking lessons and dinner parties! In these early years it has been an honor to travel across Crete and to Athens, Thessaloniki, and Santorini to share our interpretation of the Minoan kitchen. Abroad we have had amazing opportunities to lead workshops for experimental archaeology in the Czech Republic and Ireland.
